We help aquatic centers and pool operators improve the effectiveness of their chemical treatment, circulation, heating, and filtration systems with the goal of reducing water, sewer, electric, gas, chemical, and maintenance costs.
Our aquatic solutions include:
Liquid Pool Cover technology will be installed in all large pools, regardless of size, shape, or location, including large, high traffic, commercial facilities. The (LPC) solution is undetectable when used as directed: it cannot be seen, felt, smelled, or tasted.
During operation, most pools will lose a vast amount of water and heat through evaporation while the pool is uncovered – up to 70% of heat loss. Liquid pool covers work by slowing evaporation from the surface of a swimming pool by forming a safe, non-toxic, transparent layer one to two molecules thick on the surface of the pool.
ECM provides on-site generation systems that create a pH neutral chlorine allowing for a more stable, effective chlorine to treat your commercial pool or aquatic center. On-site production of chlorine as a solution of sodium hypochlorite alleviates the risks to public health and safety relating to the storage and transportation of hazardous acid and concentrated chlorine solutions. In addition, the raw materials required by on-site generators are 75% to 90% cheaper than the annual cost of traditional chlorine and pool chemicals.
On-site generation also allows for improved inactivation of microorganisms, increased water quality by reduced disinfection byproducts, and also greatly reduces a pool system’s water loss.
Many aquatic pumps do not have intelligent controls that monitor the required flow rate for maintaining a safe, legal aquatic turnover rate. Energy savings is achieved by matching the pump performance to the filter load as it dynamically changes during the filter cycle. By applying the Affinity Laws for centrifugal loads, we can calculate the cost of operation of a conventional starting method and operation with a Smart Pump Control System.
Regenerative Media Filters (RMF’s) are a more efficient alternative to sand or D.E. filtration. These filters use up to 90% less water, take up a quarter of the space, and use less energy than traditional sand filters. The combination of water, fuel, and chemical savings with these filters can translate into significant savings over time.
Often aquatic heating systems are inefficient or designed with limited focus on the overall aquatics environment. ECM can audit your environment and suggest alternate heating solutions that could include heat pumps, solar, or high efficiency heaters, to be designed to meet the overall intent of the facility to gain better efficiency.
