Value Delivered
ECM worked with an ESCO client to audit sixteen buildings on the campus of Adams State University and was then contracted to implement the building envelope measures.
The project will help generate energy savings worth nearly $25,000 annually and improve occupant comfort. Simple payback for the project is projected at five years.
Client Objectives
The university needed a contractor with familiarity working in higher-education environments and the ability to handle weatherization improvements across their campus.
Solutions
We identified air gaps in roofs, doors, windows, and walls for a variety of facilities, including fine arts, teaching, housing, theater, music, sports, research, technology, and administration buildings. Installations included:
- Weather stripping
- Door sweeps
- Air sealing
- Caulking
- Foam insulation
Both one- and two-part foam was utilized, depending on the type of joint and its visibility. Mobilization, installation, and clean up was completed in less than four weeks, and the project was warrantied.
