Value Delivered

ECM worked with an ESCO client to audit many of the buildings at the Aberdeen Proving Ground and was then contracted to provide building envelope weatherization. Our improvements will help generate an estimated annual energy savings of over $276,000 with a simple payback of 4.3 years.

Client Objectives

The U.S. Army needed a weatherization contractor with experience working on military facilities and the capacity to deliver solutions across the entirety of their campus.

Solutions

ECM identified air gaps in roofs, doors, windows, and walls for barracks, offices, hangars, warehouses, and garages throughout the base.

Our team then installed:

  • Weather stripping
  • Door sweeps
  • Air sealing
  • Caulking
  • Foam (one- and two-part foam depending on the type of joint)

Only the highest quality materials were used, and the project was warrantied. Mobilization, installation, and cleanup were completed in eight weeks.

Client Background

Aberdeen Proving Ground is a U.S. Army facility with 11 major commands, employing more than 7,500 civilians and 5,000 military personnel.
