Specialty Measures

Refrigerant RSO processECM offers a number of additional measures to help maximize the performance of HVAC systems while protecting and adding to its lifespan.

Refrigeration Controls

Walk-in coolers and freezers must keep stored items within stringent temperature ranges at all times. Even when not in cooling mode, the evaporator fans serving the coolers typically run 24/7/365. This can add thousands of dollars to energy bills annually, impacting your bottom line. By substituting Electronically Controlled (EC) motors to run the fans, and adding controls, the fan run times can be cut by over 50% and still maintain the desired temperatures.

In addition, ECM can supply 24/7 web-based monitoring of the cooler spaces in real time. Temperature alarms will trigger immediate notification to the customer, to avoid catastrophic loss of product. This also greatly reduces operational maintenance costs associated with having a person manually checking the temperatures on a regular basis.

HVAC Filters

Conventional passive air filtration provides significant resistance to air flow in air handlers. This leads to increased electrical usage by the fan motors as they work to overcome this resistance to flow, which increases progressively as the filters load with dust.

ECM offers Dynamic V8 air cleaners, which improve filtration at dramatically lowered resistance to air flow. The Dynamic V8 air cleaners provide significant operational savings. Because the media fibers are magnetized, dust can load on 360 degrees of the fibers. This increases the dust holding capacity by over 10x over the capacity of conventional passive filters, eliminating the necessity of frequent media change intervals—which are over 5 years between changes, in most cases.
