Confidential Federal Government Facility

A state-of-the-art cool roof coating helped reduce roof temperature at this government facility by 60 percent.

Before and after of roof cooling project

Value Delivered

We performed an efficiency audit and installed a cool roof coating at this government facility in an effort to improve energy efficiency. By rejecting solar heat, this coating helps reduce cooling load while also increasing the expected life span of the roof by protecting against expansion/contraction stresses.

Temperature readings were taken after installation, and the roof temperature was reduced by 60 percent. Typical simple payback for this type of work is four to seven years. The manufacturer also provides a ten-year warranty.

Client Objectives

The client wanted to reduce their cooling load and lower the surface temperature of garage doors.

Solutions

The project began with a thorough site audit, after which we proposed installing the cool roof coating as a cost-effective energy efficiency measure.

Our team prepped the rooftop surfaces and applied cool roof coating to 85,000 square feet of roof and ten overhead doors.
